In Memory of Our Founder – John F. Cali Jr.
John was Cali Carting Inc.’s founder. He had over 40 years of experience in the solid waste industry. John’s career in the solid waste business began in 1973 when he became General Manager for All State Carting Inc. While managing the day-to-day operations for All State Carting, John successfully completed several municipal contracts and gained valuable insight and knowledge. John went into business for himself as Cali Carting Inc. in 1983 with just one truck. His hard work and dedication have provided a strong foundation to build upon. He was known for his character and as a constant supporter of his local community. He will always be remembered as “THE MAN WITH THE CAN”®.
John F. Cali III – President
John III joined his family’s second generation business in January of 2001 after graduating from Rutgers University. He has been effectively implementing innovative systems throughout all aspects of operations directly resulting in increased productivity and growth. John has continued the company’s traditions of personal service and has ranked Cali Carting in the Waste Age Top 100 the past 10 years. He is the Vice Chairman of the National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA) NJ Chapter as well as a member of the Future Industry Leaders Alliance (FILA)
Robert S. Cali – Fleet Manager
Robert joined the company in December of 2015 after working for one of the Big Four Accounting Firms KPMG in NYC. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Degree in Accounting from Sacred Heart University as well as a Masters Degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University. Rob took on the role of Fleet Manager and is responsible for the direct oversight of our fleet of over 50 collection vehicles. He has applied organizational methods from his corporate background improving overall efficiency of the entire Maintenance Department. Rob looks forward to developing other areas of the business in the future.
